Formed in 1988 by inventor and Managing Director Paul Horsfall at the age of only 22, Weighwell are renowned for the Portable Train Weigher (PTW) concept. The PTW allows for either static or in-motion train weighing with numerous key features and benefits. The safety aspect, cost savings potential and the accuracy of the PTW are some of the reasons as to why Weighwell has been recognised and recommended for innovation awards. The principal value of our train weighing systems are to stop overloading and to understand the balance of the train.
